Bridges of Hope Outpatient Review
Bridges of Hope is a comprehensive behavioral health facility in the Indianapolis suburb of Anderson, Indiana. Bridges offers a full range of substance abuse treatment services for adults including detox, residential and outpatient programs with dual diagnosis care options. The outpatient programs provided by this facility are a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and standard outpatient. Bridges of Hope has a Joint Commission accreditation and is also a member of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers.
Treatment and Staff
The PHP typically lasts 28 to 40 days and focuses on stabilizing the client’s physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. This level of care provides 20 or more hours of treatment a week, with group and individual therapy and medication management for those who need psychiatric support. After PHP, clients transition to IOP. This includes about nine hours of weekly treatment with three groups for three hours at a time, and one individual session. The final phase of treatment is basic outpatient care. This level of care typically consists of less than nine hours of services per week, with both group and individual sessions available as needed.
Therapy sessions generally employ CBT methods. Over the course of the program, clients have access to a variety of specialty groups including trauma-informed care and gender-specific topics. Bridges offers comprehensive dual diagnosis services. Clients can attend group sessions which address issues such as anxiety related disorders, trauma and PTSD, depression and persistent mental illness issues. Clients can expect medication management provided by on-staff registered nurses. All the programs at Bridges incorporate the 12-step philosophy, provide information about local meetings and require clients to get a sponsor and work an AA or NA program.
The Bridges of Hope team includes peer counselors, who are former clients and licensed professionals including psychologists, RNs, MFTs, LPCs and LCSWs.
