Bridge Counseling Associates Review
Bridge Counseling Associates has been serving the outpatient recovery community in Las Vegas since 1971. The nonprofit rehab is run by a group of therapists who are committed to helping people find a recovery solution to their substance abuse issues and co-occurring disorders.
Treatment and Staff
At Bridge Counseling Associates, treatment programs can last anywhere from one to three years. They use aspects of the 12 steps, but it’s mostly group therapy for two hours once a week and individual therapy twice a week. Upon completion of their program, clients have the option to continue group therapy for up to one year at no additional fee. Dual diagnosis support is available in conjunction with psychiatric services and visits from a medical officer.
Currently, Bridge Counseling Associates employs 18 highly credentialed therapists, most of them women. During groups, each professional facilitates 16 people but their staff-to-client ratio is one-to-one, as there are several individual therapists on hand at any given time. The rehab is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 8 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 12:30 pm.
Extras
Bridge Counseling Associates doesn’t have a family program per se; however, it does have “Families in Transition” for clients who are referred by the Department of Family Services. These sessions are available twice a week. While in session, therapists speak with either the child first, then bring in the client and spouse, or vice versa. Additionally, Bridge Counseling Associates also facilitates groups for couples, parents, children and adolescents.
In addition to working with English-speaking clients, Bridge offers bilingual support. It provides court-ordered services to DUI offenders, offenders on federal probation and federal prison inmates.
In Summary
Bridge Counseling Associates is a good option for those seeking basic, outpatient treatment. Much of their work is in conjunction with the local courts and the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services. However, their services are available to anyone who feels this clinic would be a good fit.
