BreakThroughs Outpatient Addiction Treatment Review
BreakThroughs Outpatient Addiction Treatment is an alcohol and drug abuse treatment facility in Modesto, California. Founded by a group of counselors with combined experience of 26 years in addiction treatment, the goal of outpatient recovery at BreakThroughs is total abstinence from drugs and alcohol. For this reason, clients looking for Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) or using medical marijuana are not be a good fit for this program. Treatment combines the 12-step approach with evidence-based practices, such as CBT and DBT.
Treatment and Staff
Treatment begins with a two-hour assessment so that an individualized treatment plan can be created. The 10-week Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) requires attendance three days a week, which includes an hour of individual therapy as needed. Group commences Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 5:30 and 7:00 pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 to 11:30 am. Attendance at off-site 12-step groups is required but the number of weekly meetings depends on the client.
Staff is made up of CADCs, who run group sessions as well as licensed rehab technicians. A LCSW conducts all one-on-one sessions with clients.
Extras
For clients who successfully complete IOP, up to a year of free aftercare is provided. This includes group and individual therapy as needed. BreakThroughs also offers family counseling and education on addiction and co-dependency.
Additionally, BreakThroughs recently introduced Spanish speaking treatment groups. Under the direction of Christian Ojeda, who is a Registered Recovery Worker (RRW), clients whose only language is Spanish now have access to treatment.
