Bradford Health Services: Bridge to Recovery

Bradford Health Services: Bridge to Recovery Review

With locations throughout Alabama and Tennessee, Bradford Health Services is a broad and multi-faceted behavioral health organization with many different programs for adolescents, men and women who are struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. In addition to residential treatment, Bradford also has specialized outpatient plans available. One of these is Bridge to Recovery, an outpatient-based program with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services for clients dealing specifically with opioid addiction.

Treatment and Staff

Before beginning treatment, all clients go through an initial intake and assessment to help the staff determine their needs and their medical history. Though the Bridge to Recovery program does not include inpatient detox services, those services are available through Bradford Health Services more broadly.

In general, the Bridge to Recovery program consists primarily of an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) with group therapy featuring evidence-based treatment practices including CBT and DBT. In addition to the basic clinical approach of IOP, however, clients also meet for medically supervised dosing sessions of Buprenorphine and sometimes other related medications. As with many of Bradford Health Services’ other programs, clients are encouraged to attend 12-step meetings as well. Therapy groups touch on many issues including family issues, spiritual support, relapse prevention, trigger identification, vocational skills and other related topics. Medical and psychiatric supervision are also available.

The staff of the Bridge to Recovery program includes LCSWs, LPCs, LMFTs, nurses, supervising doctors and psychiatrists along with additional Master’s and PhD-level clinicians.

Extras

Bradford Health Services’ staff can also coordinate care with clients’ own physicians as necessary. Unlike some of the organization’s more specialized programs, the Bridge to Recovery program is available at many different locations.

In Summary

Overall, Bradford Health Services’ Bridge to Recovery program provides flexible outpatient therapy and MAT-oriented services to clients struggling with opiate addiction. All treatment plans are individualized, feature evidence-based therapy and can be made to suit any number of schedules. While it is a more focused option for those struggling with more severe addictions, Bradford Health Services’ Bridge to Recovery program remains as strong option for those seeking opiate-oriented treatment.
