Bond County Prairie Counseling Center Review
Bond County Prairie Counseling Center is the behavioral health clinic for the Bond County Health Department providing mental health and substance abuse services to Greenville, Illinois and surrounding communities. Roughly 45 minutes from St. Louis, Missouri, the substance abuse treatment program at PCC is exclusively outpatient, yet highly individualized.
Treatment and Staff
After an initial interview, the client undergoes a thorough assessment to determine treatment goals and to develop an individualized treatment plan. There are no set guidelines or specific structure to the program, as each plan is unique and tailored to the client. Type of treatment modalities and therapies, the frequency of sessions and the length of the program are all determined by the needs of the client and may change based on progress.
Therapies offered include individual and group therapy, family and marriage counseling, psychiatric treatment, DUI evaluations and educational sessions. A combination of CBT and DBT methodology is implemented in the therapy sessions. The 12 steps are not integrated into the program, however clients are encouraged to attend community meetings on their own time to develop a supportive and sober fellowship.
The staff at PCC consists of consists of LPCs and CADCs.

The Prairie Counseling Center is just one of the programs offered by the Bond County Health Department. Among the other services are hospice care, house calls, family planning, cancer screenings, STI screenings, social services, dental services, emergency planning and public health programs.
In Summary
Prairie Counseling Center is an individualized outpatient program with unique treatment plans determined based on the specific needs of the client. While treatment is limited to basic outpatient, this branch of the broader Bond Health network gives clients access to a wide range of adjunct services.
