BLVD Treatment CenterThe Basics

Founded by a highly-trained interdisciplinary team including clinical psychologist Dr. Lauren Costine, BLVD Treatment Centers offers an integrated approach for clients struggling with substance abuse, addiction and co-occurring disorders. With two locations in Los Angeles and one opening soon in San Francisco, California, BLVD provides residential treatment, detox, outpatient, intervention, sober living and aftercare services for adults.

Accommodations and Food

Clients at BLVD can select shared or private rooms, all of which are fully furnished and well appointed. The stylish décor means the environment feels more like a boutique hotel than a treatment center. All meals are provided, and prepared by a private Chef. Nutritional counseling and cooking classes are also available.

Treatment and Staff

Upon the completion of an intake assessment, clients are provided individualized treatment plans of varying length. Typically, clients remain in inpatient care for 30 days, but 60 and 90-day programs are also available. If medically monitored detox is required, clients will be supervised and assisted by a doctor and nurses. Stabilization, medication management and further treatment planning are provided. All clients receive a full medical and psychiatric evaluation that helps determine the presence of co-occurring disorders. Those with such diagnosis are provided medication management, follow-up care and focused treatment groups.

Various recovery modalities, including the 12-step approach, Refuge Recovery and SMART Recovery are offered. A LGBTQ affirmative track is also provided with specialized groups. Clients attend CBT-style individual and group therapy. These focus on process groups, relapse prevention, addiction education, mindfulness and nutritional education. Healthy relationship and family system groups are also provided, as well as yoga and meditation.

The daytime Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is available Mondays through Fridays, from 10 am to 4 pm. These programs focus on building life skills, with psychoeducation, relapse prevention and regulating emotions. The evening IOP track is offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 6 to 9 pm. Transport to and from these programs is provided for clients in BLVD sober living facilities.

Led by Dr. Costine, the team at BLVD includes therapists who hold LMFT credentials and MFT interns, a CATC 1, outreach coordinators, executive and administrative staff.

Extras

After completion of the IOP program, clients have the option to enter a 60-day aftercare program. This consists of individual and group therapy as well as continued evaluation and case management. Sober living is also provided in various locations in California.

In Summary

Blvd Treatment Centers offer a range of affordable treatment options for adult clients. Detox is included in the cost, as is the aftercare option. The stylish interiors provide an environment that is peaceful and comfortable in the heart of LA. The variety of treatment modalities mean clients leave treatment having built a strong foundation for recovery. This is a great option for a client who is seeking to stay clean and broaden their horizons.
