Bluecrest Recovery Center Review
Based out of Woodland Park, New Jersey, Bluecrest Recovery Center is a CARF-accredited behavioral health organization offering outpatient, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) for clients struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. All clients are treated from a mind, body and soul perspective with an emphasis on individualized treatment plans.
Treatment and Staff
Before programs begin, all clients go through an initial intake and assessment process to help staff members develop their treatment plans. Though detox services are not available, those in need can get referrals to nearby programs as necessary. Once stable, clients move into one of the many treatment tracks offered at the facility. Most intensive is PHP, which meets Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. IOP meets three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday with both morning and evening sessions available. Least intensive is the standard outpatient option, which can be made to suit any schedule and can also serve as an aftercare option.
In all the above, treatment features individual, group and family therapy with evidence-based treatment practices such as CBT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Dual diagnosis support including medication management services are also available. While 12-step principles are used and participation in step work is encouraged, programming typically focuses more on general spirituality than AA/NA specifically. Groups cover a range of topics including addiction education, life skills, relapse prevention, wellness and more.
The staff at Bluecrest Recovery Center consists of LCSWs, CADCs, LPCs, RNs, psychiatrists and additional Master’s-level clinicians.

Other services include a wide range of holistic therapy options which may include art therapy, music therapy, meditation, yoga, exercise groups, pet therapy and mindfulness training. Additional aid with interventions is also available as are flexible aftercare planning services.
