Treatment and Staff
The Right Path offers a variety of treatment options for those suffering from substance abuse and mental health issues. Prior to entering any of the programs, clients meet with an intake counselor for a free biopsychosocial evaluation. If required, clients are placed in the inpatient detox, a three- to five-day process. Clients are given around the clock medical care, ensuring that they are safe and stable. Medication can be administered during this phase as necessary.
IOP for adults offers treatment five times a week from 10 am to 3 pm, allowing clients to participate in recovery while receiving monitored support then returning home to their everyday lives. The schedule is composed mostly of group therapy, although individual sessions are used for discharge planning as well. Evidence based therapies such as CBT and DBT are frequently used, with topics including relapse prevention, coping skills, healthy relationships, the 12 steps, self-esteem and anger management. Support for mental health issues is also offered, through therapy and medication management. Additionally, clients are encouraged to attend AA/NA meetings during their free time and obtain a sponsor, though not required. The length of time spent in IOP depends on each individual’s needs.
The BHC staff includes Master’s-level therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, interns and LADCs. IOP groups max out at 15 people.
Extras
A weekly family group is available for loved-ones, educating family members on substance abuse, healthy communication and codependency. Aftercare services include 12-step community referrals and an on-site alumni support group.
Additionally, aside from programs for drug and alcohol treatment, BHC also has an outpatient program for clients with eating disorders as well.
