Better Living Solutions Review
Better Living Solutions is a wellness and counseling clinic that offers outpatient treatment services for clients of all ages. Located in Tallahassee, Florida, Better Living Solutions specializes in eating disorders treatment, nutritional counseling, individual and group therapy, and marriage counseling. There are several different levels of care, including a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and customized treatment tracks available.
Treatment and Staff
Better Living Solutions’ outpatient programs take place in a home-like setting that fosters comfort and relaxation. There are several private therapy rooms along with larger areas that are used for group sessions or classes. For those taking part in the eating disorder program, there are different levels of intensity offered starting with the PHP, which is an all day program of up to 10 hours per day of treatment. The IOP offers options of a three, five or seven day program in which clients come in for treatment for three or more hours per day. These tracks consist of both group and individual therapy, nutritional classes, food prep and meal planning sessions, and some recreational activity. There is also counseling for family members.
Individuals can attend treatment on a weekly basis in one on one sessions. BLS offers treatment for a variety of behavioral health issues, including anxiety and depression, codependency, eating disorders and addiction and more. These sessions typically run about an hour and utilize a number of treatment modalities such as CBT, DBT and EMDR. There are also a number of expressive therapies offered like art and music therapy and other holistic methods.
The team of clinicians at BLS are Master’s-level LMFTs, LMHCs, LCSWs and dietitians. Additionally, clients can get a number of referrals and resources if needed.
Extras
Along with traditional therapy approaches, BLS offers a specialized program known as Mindful Movement, which combines therapy, exercise and yoga. Additionally, programming is offered for postpartum mothers. There are also several therapy options for couples and family members in a private setting.
