Residents enjoy tasty and nutritious meals planned to replenish the body’s nutrients. The facility enforces a strict two sugar rule at each meal both for health reasons and as a baseline to observe if clients are willing to play by the rules.
Treatment and Staff
Bethesda provides treatment for clients struggling with a wide range of addictions like alcohol, cocaine, marijuana, crystal meth, pharmaceuticals as well as eating disorders and contact addictions like gambling and sex. Upon arriving Bethesda, clients undergo an extensive medical assessment that helps the staff to determine the most effective treatment plan. If deemed necessary, clients enter into the detox process. Bethesda offers a medically supervised detox with an around-the-clock nursing team as well as medication to ease the detox withdrawal symptoms.

In addition, the facility provides weekly relapse prevention and life skills-centered groups.
The multi-disciplinary Bethesda team is comprised of psychiatrists, clinical supervisors, registered social workers, addiction counselors, general practitioners, a house manager, a nursing team, legal professionals and a transitional counselor. Medication management is available for individuals with co-occurring disorders in need of dual diagnosis support.
