Believe Treatment Center Review
Believe Treatment Center is a substance abuse treatment facility located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. It offers a program that combines a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) with structured sober living for adult men and women. The program is based on the 12-step philosophy and includes dual diagnosis support, if necessary.
Accommodations and Food
The 15 or so clients who reside at the sober living home during their time in treatment stay in a large, two story luxury house that offers all the comforts of home. The men and women stay in different wings and share bedrooms furnished with queen sized beds, dressers and walk in closets. There are also bathrooms that connect between every room that have showers and ample counter space. There are two living rooms with televisions, a big dining room and lounge areas with couch and arm chairs.
There are weekly trips to the grocery store where clients can pick out their food for the week. Though it’s encouraged, it’s not required that the clients take turns making meals for the whole house.
Treatment and Staff
The programs at Believe are individualized, with the number of men and women in the program is kept low in order to maintain a personal touch between clients and counselors. Those who are in need of a detox are referred to local facilities by the case managers to ensure a safe medical process. They are then transferred to the house for the remainder of their treatment, which lasts between 30 to 45 days.
Clients participate in the PHP seven days a week; Mondays through Fridays for six hours during the day, and on the weekends from ten am to about noon. The evenings consist of AA or NA meetings or group sessions. As the clients progress through the program they can step down to the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) which is three to five days a week for about three hours at a time. This option is also offered to clients who remain at the facility longer than the 45 days that still need support. These clients reside at another sober living facility while attending the Believe IOP.
Clients receive individual therapy once or twice a week. Since the program provides dual diagnosis support, clients can meet with the staff psychiatrist who can offer medication management and monitor their progress. In addition to the therapeutic aspect of treatment, clients also attend church on the weekends to give them a sense of spiritual support. The staff of Believe includes Master’s-level therapists, CADCs, case managers, LPNs and 24 hour a day residential care professionals.
Extras
Believe Treatment Center clients experience a number of recreational outings during their stay, which includes beach or canoe trips, going on nature hikes or group bowling nights. The residents also have access to a local gym and are permitted to take time to work out several times a week, and have regular chiropractic visits as well. When the men and women have some down time, they are always welcome to use the basketball hoop in the driveway, the pool or ping-pong tables, or take a dip in the pool in the back yard.
The aftercare plan can include referrals to an outpatient facility in the client’s home community, or an opportunity to continue on with sessions at the Believe Treatment Center as needed.
