All treatment is evidence based and includes components of CBT and anger management as well as alternative therapies like art therapy, recreational therapy and music therapy. Clients can also receive individual therapy if they’d like, though those sessions are not a core part of the program and are scheduled outside of regular treatment. Those with co-occurring disorders have access to medication management services and during initial assessments intake counselors assign a psychiatrist for additional therapy whenever necessary.
The treatment staff at Behavioral Medicine Center of Brookfield is made up of medical doctors and nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, LCSWs and LPCs.

In addition to detox for alcohol, the facility also offers Suboxone for those dealing with withdrawal symptoms of opiates. Additionally, couples and family therapy options are available.
For those who would like to continue treatment following completion of the IOP, the facility can provide aftercare plans that are individualized, consisting mostly of once-a-week individual therapy sessions. Geriatric treatment may also be available in the client’s home.
