Accommodations and Amenities

The residential home can accommodate a total of 13 women in rooms based on double occupancy. It is equipped with on-site laundry, exercise equipment and common areas with TV. Close to public transportation and several AA/NA meetings, the facility aims to create a simple and manageable lifestyle so that residents and focus on their recovery while also building independent living skills. In that vain, residents are expected to cook and prepare their own meals.

Rules and Regulations

The facility runs on a social model where clients encourage one another in sobriety and deal with infractions within the house. All residents are expected to maintain employment, volunteer or pursue further education in addition to attending regular 12-step meetings. Generally, stays are six to 10 months but clients are welcome stay as long as a year. Due to state regulations, sex offenders, arsonists or women with a history of assault cannot be admitted.

As mentioned, ServiceNet also operates Beacon House for Men, which offers a parallel program. Clients in need of treatment are encouraged to attend ServiceNet’s outpatient program, which could also be used as an aftercare option. ServiceNet also provides many community-oriented programs, such as mental health counseling, vocational services and housing assistance.
