Asana Recovery Costa Mesa Review

Located in the beautiful Costa Mesa community in Orange County, California, Asana Recovery provides a full continuum of care. It has a medical detox, residential care and outpatient programming. It offers both a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Asana Recovery specializes in treating alcohol and substance use disorders. The CARF-accredited facility utilizes a client-centered treatment model. Staff tailor programming to address the unique needs, goals and circumstances of the individual. The facility also provides dual diagnosis support. Twelve-step is an integral component of the programming.

Treatment and Staff

Asana Recovery offers a comprehensive, seven-day-a-week PHP and a flexible IOP. They’re ideal for clients that can’t commit to inpatient, or who are stepping down from residential. With day and evening scheduling, clients benefit from a consistent treatment structure while sleeping at home and continuing to work or go to school.

Before beginning treatment, clients undergo a comprehensive intake assessment that includes a personal medical history and a detailed account of substance use. When necessary, individuals transfer into detox before beginning an outpatient track. Detox entails medical supervision as well as the facilitation of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) like Suboxone.

Through a comprehensive “whole person” treatment approach, Asana Recovery incorporates biological, psychological and social components into every client’s care plan. It’s an integrative treatment approach that includes evidence-based therapies, 12-step, life skills training, psychoeducation, holistic and experiential measures and relapse prevention. Clients engage in regular individual and group therapy with therapists trained in CBT, DBT and EMDR.

Asana Recovery Avenues Program

Asana Recovery believes in the importance of reintegration planning. As such, individuals in the PHP phase take part in Asana’s “Avenues Program,” which encourages clients to re-engage with academics, volunteering and the working world. By the time clients have transitioned into the outpatient program, they should have a strong foothold in their community easing their transition back into regular life. Many clients in the outpatient program participate in local 12-step groups and SMART Recovery.

Medication management is available for persons with co-occurring disorders. Asana Recovery’s staff includes MD’s, Master’s-level therapists and clinicians, support personnel and personal trainers

Extras

The facility offers an array of complementary therapies like art therapy, yoga and meditation.

Asana Recovery offers 12 in-house beds for clients in the PHP program. The facility can connect individuals in the outpatient phase to reasonably priced, local sober living accommodations.

In Summary

Asana Recovery, a CARF-accredited treatment facility, offers personalized PHP, IOP and outpatient services. Through a bio-psycho-social philosophy of care, the facility not only treats the symptoms of alcohol and substance use disorders but also the root, underlying causes of these conditions. In addition to medication management and evidence-based counseling, clients learn how to re-engage with their community and how to lead a fun, sober life. For clients seeking an comprehensive continuum of care that includes an attention to aftercare unique in the industry, Asana Recovery is an excellent option.
