Annata Humanversity Review
Based in the iconic city of Mumbai, India, Annata Humanversity is an expansive organization that offers flexible and individualized treatment programs to clients struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. The organization was founded in 2003 and works in affiliation with Paracelsus Recovery in Zurich, Switzerland, another additional premier recovery facility. The organization has two separate facilities in the area that provide residential treatment.
Accommodations and Food
Residents at Anatta can stay in either a villa or a small apartment complex, each of which provides space for four residents. In either location, clients stay in private rooms with queen and king-sized beds, dressers, marble floors, desks and modern decor. In addition to the bedrooms, the villa also includes recreational areas with pool tables, a media and meditation room, exercise equipment and outdoor patio areas. Similarly, the four bedroom apartment complex also features shared common areas, cable TV and Internet, a swimming pool and exercise equipment.
At both facilities, residents are served three healthy gourmet meals a day with the help of on-staff chefs and nutritionists.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning treatment, all clients go through an intake and assessment process to help staff members develop their care plans. Those in need of detox can do so on-site before continuing onto full-time therapy. While all programs are individualized, treatment typically lasts between six to eight weeks.
Once stabilized, all clients attend daily individual and group therapy that features evidence-based care practices like CBT and DBT. In addition to these methods, the organization also incorporates a wide range of holistic and alternate methods as well including yoga, Pranayama breathing techniques, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and regression therapy. Group sessions cover a wide range of issues including dual diagnosis support, healing from trauma, codependency, coping skills and relapse prevention. While 12-step participation is not required, it may be encouraged in some cases.
The staff at Anatta Humanversity consists of doctors, psychiatrists, nurses, certified addiction counselors and additional Master’s and PhD-level clinicians.
Extras
Additional services include homeopathic therapies and Alternate Life Therapy (ALT), a wide-ranging and organization-specific method which includes meditation and spiritual guidance to help clients gain a better understanding of themselves. Once they complete a primary care regimen, clients can also work with staff members to develop stepped down aftercare plans as necessary.
