All About Recovery Outpatient Review
Located in Royal Palm Beach, Florida, All About Recovery provides a variety of addiction treatment services, including detox, an outpatient program and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Their All About Recovery Sober Living facilities offer gender-specific housing for men and women, including two houses which cater specifically to baby boomers ages 39 and older. Typically, All About Recovery’s IOP clients reside at a sober living facility.
Treatment and Staff
All About Recovery offers ambulatory detox that includes medication-assisted treatment with Suboxone and other similar medications for alcohol and opiate withdrawal. These clients visit the office each day to receive their medication and to be monitored by the staff physician and licensed psychiatrist.
On a weekly basis, IOP is a nine-hour commitment and the regular outpatient track is between three and six hours. The weekly IOP consists of three three-hour group sessions and one individual session, while outpatient typically provides one group session and one individual session. Psychiatric consultations are scheduled per client’s needs and dual diagnosis support is offered in a n individual setting.
All About Recovery utilizes different evidence-based treatment modalities including CBT and experiential therapy. Group topics include anger management, trauma, self-esteem, depression and relapse prevention. Groups are all gender-specific, because the rehab believes that during early recovery, women and men often have issues that they feel comfortable discussing only with members of their own sex. Additionally, they think it is common for both newcomer men and women use sex to act out on their addiction and its just safer for clients to be in gender-specific groups.
Male clients address issues during group therapy that include sex and gender issues, relationships, healthy boundaries and other topics pertinent to men. The women discuss issues including trauma, eating disorders, parenting and other topics that are often more relevant to females. Attendance usually ranges between eight and 15 clients per group. Qualified clients residing at a transitional living facility are eligible for scholarships that cover treatment costs. Additionally, All About Recovery residents attend five mandatory off-site 12-step meetings per week.
The out-of-pocket 30-day cost for IOP is $4,200, but qualified low income clients are eligible for a sliding scale fee.
Extras
Free transportation to treatment is offered to IOP clients living at one of the All About Recovery residences. All About Recovery also offers a weekly family program on Thursday evenings.
