Al Tech Services Inc. Review
Al Tech Services Inc. provides outpatient substance abuse treatment and DUI education programs in Rockford, Illinois. Their extensive list of court-ordered treatment options makes Al Tech popular amongst DUI clients, though self-referred participants also have access to an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
Treatment and Staff
Upon beginning treatment at Al Tech, clients must undergo a substance abuse assessment. From the assessment, clinicians are able to determine whether IOP would best suit a client’s needs. If so, an individualized treatment plan can be developed which includes a fixed amount of group therapy a week and a flexible number of AA/NA meetings and individual therapy sessions. Typically, each individual therapy session is an hour long. Support for co-occurring disorders is not available.
Treatment in IOP is comprised of a total of 75 hours of group therapy. Group therapy sessions are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 am to noon or from 6 to 9 pm. Each individual is placed in the group that best fits their schedule. During group sessions, participants discuss topics pertinent to substance abuse, relapse prevention and the disease concept of addiction.
Treatment in IOP is facilitated by CADCs who lead sessions using evidence-based modalities. Sessions can either be educational or therapeutic, using CBT and DBT. Attendance at required AA/NA is also a significant component to treatment at Al Tech. One of the perks of Al Tech is that treatment is provided by staff members who have over 30 years of combined sobriety.
Extras
Aftercare is available to clients that have completed treatment at Al Tech. It is a mandatory part of treatment and requires attendance of at least four individual therapy sessions. These are scheduled to fit a variety of schedules and are offered at an extra cost.
Other services include a 10-hour long Drivers Risk Education Program (DREP) and a combination DREP and early intervention sessions for 12 hours. Finally, there’s also a combination DREP program that provides 20 hours of substance abuse treatment in the form of group therapy. Services are available in both English and Spanish.

At Al Tech Services, prospective clients can find a myriad of DUI education courses and an IOP for substance abuse. It’s a good option for those seeking outpatient care that combines evidence-based modalities and 12-step participation. Clients who find comfort in being treated by certified professionals that have been in their shoes might find treatment here a good fit.
