Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) Review
Based out of Kansas City, Missouri, Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a residential treatment facility run by The Salvation Army. It provides treatment to both men and women but is primarily focused on clients who are homeless or low-income. Both court-ordered and self-referred clients are welcome.
Accommodations and Food
The ARC facility has a total of 130 beds. Residents sleep in shared, gender-specific rooms with basic accommodations. Rooms are set up dorm-style, with anywhere from two to eight beds in each. ARC provides bedding and clothing as necessary. Throughout their stay, residents are given three meals a day served cafeteria-style.
Treatment and Staff
Treatment begins with an initial assessment followed by a schedule of group and individual therapy that uses evidence-based practices, such as CBT and DBT, as well as AA/NA meetings. Work therapy is also part of treatment, wherein clients work at the organization’s thrift stores to gain life and employment skills.
The staff at Adult Rehabilitation Center consists of Master’s-level CADCs, LCSWs and additional support staff.
Extras
The facility’s parent organization also provides emergency housing, education and therapy for at-risk children, as well as family therapy programs.

Using a combination of evidence-based care, 12-step support and active employment, clients are provided with many of the tools they need to start rebuilding a sober and independent life.
