Adelante Recovery Review
Adelante Recovery Center is a detox and luxury residential treatment facility located in the southern California coastal town of Corona Del Mar. Treatment programs are individualized for adult men and women with a dual diagnosis and/or drug and alcohol addiction. Providing luxury-level services at a mid-range cost, Adelante incorporates both 12-step and holistic therapeutic approaches in daily group and individual therapy.
Accommodations and Food
There are three residential facilities dedicated to the treatment programs through Adelante, all of which are five- or six-bedroom homes. Clients are generally given a private bedroom and bathroom, though on occasion a room is shared. Each house is beautifully decorated and modern, offering extra amenities like a pool, ping pong table, piano and hot tubs. There are large living rooms with plush couches and loungers, along with an entertainment center with a TV in front of a cozy fireplace. There is also plenty of outdoor space, as the facilities are on large plot of land with allows for complete privacy during treatment. The back yards offer shaded areas to sit and relax and a family sized BBQ.
All the food is provided and prepared for clients by an on-site chef who cooks three fresh, healthy meals daily. Allergies or dietary needs can be accommodated
Treatment and Staff
If an incoming client needs detox, he or she is placed into a private section of the residential facilities and monitored by doctors and nurses around the clock. Following detox, they’re rotated into a regular schedule of group and individual therapy, nightly off-site AA or NA meetings, journaling, meditation and sober activities. Programs are devised in 30-, 60- and 90-day plans and, with the exception of off-site meetings, all treatment takes place on-site. Clients with an existing dual diagnosis are provided with medication management services if necessary.
Treatment utilizes CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), DBT and mindfulness modalities as well as more holistic approaches like art therapy. Group therapy focuses on self esteem, health and fitness goals, life skills, relapse prevention and rebuilding family relationships. The clients also work closely with their therapist to design individual treatment goals and a plan for life after program completion.
The staff of Adelante includes medical doctors and LPNs, CADCs, and LPCs.
Extras
Adelante also offers outpatient treatment and sober living options. Clients are able to exercise regularly; they receive a gym membership and take yoga classes. They also go on sober outings to the beach (which is less than a mile away), nature hikes and movie nights.
