Addiction Rehab Centers Outpatient Review
Addiction Rehab Centers of Indianapolis, Indiana, is a substance abuse and dual diagnosis treatment facility that provides several rehab services including an intensive residential program and outpatient tracks. The outpatient treatments consist of a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), called the day program, an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and a standard, step-down outpatient track. Outpatient programming offers group and individual therapy, medication management, and alternative, holistic treatments.
Treatment and Staff
The outpatient programs are common step-down tracks from the residential treatment, though it’s not required that any incoming clientele must have had to partake in that program in order to receive outpatient treatment. Upon admission every client is matched with a therapist. In some cases it may be the same counselor they had while in the residential program. The day program picks up where the residential track leaves off, and requires five to seven days a week in treatment for up to six hours per day. The IOP is a bit less intensive with three days a week of treatment for three hours per day. The standard OP is considered a continuing care track and mainly consists of regular AA or NA meetings, and once a week group therapy sessions.
Though 12-step is the most commonly used theory in treatment, there are also options for SMART Recovery or other styles of spiritual counseling and peer support.
Group sessions are mainly kept small in number, between eight and 10 clients in each and are co-ed. Groups meet several times a day in the day program and IOP. These sessions cover relapse prevention, identifying triggers and managing urges and develop new coping skills. The outpatient track can also facilitate Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for clients who in need of a maintenance program for opioids. All the outpatient programming is individualized, and the length of time in each level of treatment depends on how the client is progressing. Throughout treatment clients meet several times with their therapist to assess programming goals, and begin to put together an aftercare plan.
The staff at Addiction Rehab Centers includes a number of medical staff, nurses and physicians, along with addiction specialists, LCSWs and CADCs.
