The Basics
Into Action Recovery is a CARF-accredited behavioral health organization with several programs throughout Houston, Texas for clients struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. As an overall program philosophy, Into Action Recovery stresses a balanced curriculum that includes medical and psychiatric oversight as well as 12-step support. In addition to its residential treatment and extended stay facilities, the organization also offers an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).
Treatment and Staff
Upon enrolling, all clients go through an initial intake and assessment to help the clinical team develop their treatment plan. Those in need of detox can do so on site before continuing on to therapy. All participants are given individualized treatment plans, each including both individual and group therapy with evidence-based practices including CBT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Groups cover a range of topics related to addiction including life skills, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, relationship counseling and relapse prevention. Dual diagnosis support and medication management services are provided as well. All clients also participate in regular 12-step meetings as part of programming. IOP plans typically meet three days a week for 10 to 12 weeks.
The well-rounded staff at Into Action Recovery consists of LCDCs, LPCs, LVNs, a psychiatrist, RNs and additional Master’s-level counselors.
Extras
As mentioned, Into Action Recovery also provides more intensive programs including residential treatment for men and a transitional living facility. Family therapy is also included.
Those who complete treatment can also work with staff members on discharge planning and aftercare options. Additionally, the organization also runs a weekly alumni group which meets on Thursday to help foster a sober network among past attendees.
