Treatment and Staff
Through a mind-body-spirit philosophy of care, Vantage Point seeks to not only treat conditions but to heal the “whole person.” Before beginning treatment at Vantage Point, clients go through a comprehensive intake assessment that includes medical and psychological evaluations as well as a complete account of substance use. Based on the results, the intake team designs the best possible individualized treatment strategy customized to meet the unique needs, goals and situation of the person. A personalized discharge plan is also designed to outline continued support.
When necessary, clients transition immediately into the detox or acute stabilization program. Vantage Point provides a medical detox process that includes around-the-clock supervision, therapy and medication to mitigate uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms. The length of detox varies from person to person depending on their needs, but typically lasts between five and seven days. Vantage Point also offers a comprehensive and flexible IOP that is ideal for seniors that require consistent therapy but cannot commit to a long-term inpatient process. With therapy between 9am and noon on weekdays, individuals are able to receive therapy without taking time away from work or school.
Vantage Point offers a holistic approach to care that treats as well as empowers clients. Individualized programming integrates a number of medical and therapeutic methods including evidence-based therapies, holistic practices, psychoeducation and medication management. Clients engage in weekly individual therapy and daily group therapy sessions rooted in CBT, trauma-focused CBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to resolve indifference and strengthen resolve. Psychoeducation courses focus on relevant topics such as addiction, relapse prevention and coping strategies.
Vantage Point employs a team comprised of psychiatric nurses, physicians, registered nurses, psychiatrists, social workers, recreation therapists and educators. Medication management and medical services are available.
Holistic practices include recreation and expressive therapies.
Vantage Point places a premium on family involvement. As a result, the facility offers family therapy sessions that educate the family about addiction while opening the lines of communication, setting boundaries and developing opportunities for development.
Vantage Point also offers specialized long-term residential programming for children and adolescents as well as an IOP for seniors struggling with mood disorders and neurocognitive disorders.
