Acadia: Tigard Comprehensive Treatment Center Review
Located in a suburb of Portland, Oregon, the Tigard Comprehensive Treatment Center provides Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for residents of Washington County struggling with opioid dependence. Treatment and Staff
Tigard CTC is a specialized facility that focuses on care for individuals with opioid dependence. Clients are treated with a combination of medication and therapeutic interventions. Before clients are admitted and treated, they are assessed by the intake staff to determine which medication best suits their needs and frequency of dosing. Methadone, Suboxone and Subutex are available for prescription under the direction of physicians and nurses. Dosing and therapy hours are Monday through Friday from 5:30 am to 12 pm and on Saturdays from 6:15 to 9 am.
The medical staff emphasizes that medication helps treat the physical aspects of addiction but group and individual therapy are also important to the recovery process, allowing clients to work deeper to understand the root causes of their substance abuse.
Therapy is scheduled during clinic hours and is facilitated by LADCs. During treatment, clients learn positive coping skills and work towards developing a recovery network and are also encouraged to attend 12-step meetings to further develop their recovery community.
Extras
TCTC can provide resources for clients that are outside their scope of practice. Those requiring more intensive treatment or assistance connecting with housing, employment or financial services are given referrals.
