Acadia: Springfield Comprehensive Treatment Center Review
Founded a decade ago, the Springfield Comprehensive Treatment Center first opened its doors in Springfield, Massachusetts in 2006. Substance abuse treatment at Springfield CTC is limited to outpatient Medically-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid addicted adults. Clients also participate in basic outpatient therapy in conjunction with medication. CTC does not incorporate the 12-step framework into treatment.
As a member of the Acadia Healthcare network, Springfield Comprehensive Treatment Center is just one of many behavioral health facilities providing chemical dependency and therapeutic support. With its headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, Acadia serves communities across the country and in the UK with residential, outpatient and school-based treatment programs.
Treatment and Staff
Springfield CTC treats clients with either methadone or Suboxone, depending upon the specifics of their addiction. Clients also attend a required minimum of one group and one individual session weekly. They are matched with counselors who help them create individualized schedules which include times, frequency and duration of treatment.
While enrolled in the program, clients focus on their recovery as well as healthy coping skills, personal goals and a plan for aftercare. Springfield CTC is open for dosing Monday through Friday from 6 to 11:30 am and on weekends from 6:30 to 11:15 am. Additionally, the facility is open from 6 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday for group therapy and counseling.
The Springfield CTC employs an on-site doctor, registered nurses and Licensed Substance Abuse Counselors (LSACs).
