Treatment and Staff
Santa Ana CTC provides individualized treatment experiences based on an initial assessment. Clients are prescribed methadone, Subutex or Suboxone, receptor blockers that ease the symptoms of withdrawal with dosage dependent upon acuity. Once accepted, clients can develop a medication dosing schedule that works for them. Participants can attend anytime between 5am to 3pm Monday through Friday, or from 6:30 to 9:30am on Saturday and Sunday. Clients are seen by physicians and nurses on staff to monitor medications and identify other health concerns. Length of time on medication is dependent on the individual and how they are progressing through their recovery. Since the medication only treats the physical aspects of addiction, it is important that clients attend therapeutic interventions to treat the mental and emotional effects.
Group and individual therapy are available during office hours at the facility. CADCs lead all sessions and counselors use a range of evidence-based practices treatment techniques including CBT and DBT.
Treatment at Santa Ana CTC is low intensity and more intensive treatment methods may be needed. All clients are encouraged to supplement their recovery by attending 12-step meetings. Finding peer support in the community is essential towards bringing a client’s recovery beyond the treatment facility.
The staff at Santa Ana Comprehensive Treatment Center consists of consulting physicians, nurses and Master’s-level, state-certified drug counselors.

Counselors and physicians under the Acadia Healthcare network are all interconnected and able to provide a range of reliable support resources. Those in need are given referrals to residential or other intensive treatment programs, or community resources including housing, employment and financial support.
In addition to the Santa Ana location, Southern California Comprehensive Treatment Centers also runs similar programs at their location in Wilmington, with group therapy also available.
