Acadia: San Diego Comprehensive Treatment Centers Review
San Diego Comprehensive Treatment Centers are a network of outpatient facilities providing Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), giving clients access to methadone, Suboxone, Vivitrol and Subutex treatments. With locations in Capalina, El Cajon, Fashion Valley and two in downtown San Diego, clients also are encouraged to attend both group and individual therapy to support their overall recovery.

Treatment and Staff
Following a comprehensive intake assessment, staff creates a treatment plan is individualized to the unique needs of each client that determines their MAT course and suggested therapy schedule. The counselors monitor each individual’s progress and the effectiveness of treatment, managing each case and modifying accordingly. As clients progress physically in response to MAT, they are able to focus more on the psychological and emotional factors that contribute to their behaviors and addiction and depending on the individual plan they may attend daily group sessions or only a few times a week.
Sessions are scheduled during times that allow clients to maintain their work and family obligations. Individual sessions are scheduled independently and focus on the root of the client’s addictive behaviors through CBT methodology. The duration of treatment varies from client to client.
The staff at SDCTC consists of RNs, physicians, LPCs and LCDCs.
Extras
In addition to MAT for opioid-based addictions, SDCTC also offers a referral system. If clients are found to require more intensive treatment beyond the scope of outpatient services—such as inpatient treatment or support for co-occurring disorders—staff provide information on outside resources and alternative treatment programs.
