Lowell Comprehensive Treatment Center is an outpatient clinic that offers a full spectrum of care for adults grappling with active opioid addiction. Treatment and Staff
Prior to admission, all potential clients are seen by the intake team for an assessment which determines the acuity of their opioid dependence, current state of health and recommendations for moving forward with MAT. LCTC offers Suboxone, methadone and Subutex as treatment options, with the level of dosage and adjustments monitored by a team of physicians and nurses. All clients follow an individualized treatment plan based on the findings in their initial assessment, with all aspects subject to adjustment based on the client’s progress.
While MAT treats the physical aspects of addiction and recovery, clients are highly encouraged to attend therapeutic interventions to better understand the causes and conditions of their addiction. CADCs lead group therapy as well as individual therapy. Counselors use CBT and other evidence-based treatment techniques during therapy. Men and women attend the same groups for processing, but individual sessions provide privacy between counselor and client. Frequency of attendance and length of treatment is dependent on the individual and their progress. Some clients may also be encouraged to attend 12-step meetings to supplement their recovery.
Extras
While LCTC specializes in treating opioid addiction by providing MAT and therapy, referrals for additional resources and community support are made available by the individual’s counselor for housing, economic/employment support or more intensive treatment programs.
