Acadia’s Hefner Mission Treatment Center is an opioid treatment facility in Hefner, Oklahoma. Treatment is for adult men and women who have struggled with opioids for at least a year. Programming includes Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) with the use of Methadone, Suboxone, Subutex and Vivitrol. Along with medication management, clients receive support in the form of individual and group therapy. Acadia Hefner Mission Treatment Center is a CARF Accredited facility.
Treatment and Staff
Clients who are 18 and older and in the withdrawal process between 20 and 24 hours meet the criteria for admission to the program. The only exception to that rule is for women who are pregnant at the time of admission. In addition, clients have to live within 50 miles of the treatment facility.
Intake takes up to four hours, during which time there is a full physical, psychological assessment and psychiatric evaluation. In addition, women coming in for intake have to submit to a pregnancy test. Accepted clients do not receive their medication on the same day as the assessment, though they are presented with their individualized treatment plan.
Therapeutic interventions include 12-step support, relapse prevention groups, and coping skills groups. Other group therapy topics cover identifying triggers, communication and setting healthy boundaries. Individual sessions are scheduled according to need. Clients and their assigned therapist discuss goals throughout treatment, celebrate accomplishments and plan for aftercare.
In addition to the therapeutic protocols used throughout treatment there are also medical services including regular physicals are provided. This can also result in additional medications and dual diagnosis support.
Medical staff consists of physicians and nurses, and the clinical team includes addiction counselors.
Extras
Family therapy is provided for clients and their loved ones when it is needed. These sessions are led by addiction counselors and offer addiction education, and are provided with resources for support meetings within the community such as Al-Anon.
