The facility includes a large indoor gymnasium, outdoor basketball court, and living room space with love seats and a TV.
An on-site kitchen staff prepares all meals. This includes cooks and a dietary aide who work on the food prep, and the staff dietitian who plans all the meals. Clients eat with their program groups in the cafeteria and dining hall.
Treatment and Staff
Treatment at this facility addresses a number of mental illnesses and disorders. This includes depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, psychosis and co-occurring disorders. There is a medical detox program for clients who need stabilization upon admission. This service pertains to those in the dual diagnosis treatment track. Clients attend several group sessions every day, and at least one individual session per week. The groups address whatever specific issues clients are dealing with. All of the treatment protocols are age appropriate. Medication management is available.
Common treatment approaches include CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and other experiential therapies. Treatment for clients addressing their substance abuse is not based on the 12 steps, however the staff does recommend clients seek out AA or NA communities during their discharge planning. There is no set amount of time that clients are expected to remain in treatment.
Staff includes psychiatrists, medical doctors, nurses, and LCSW.
