The Basics
Cranberry Township is located in Butler County in Pennsylvania and acts as home to one of the many Discovery House Comprehensive Treatment Center facilities. Treatment and Staff
Whether potential clients are addicted to street-form opioids or pharmaceuticals, clients are assessed to determine whether they have other diagnoses that may limit their ability to benefit from medication. If their health and mental status check out, they are administered Methadone, Suboxone or Subutex. All dosing is monitored carefully and adjusted by professionals and medical staff members as clients progress in their recovery.
Dosing is available during the week from 5 to 11 am. Weekend dosing is from 6 to 9 am and on holidays from 5 to 8 am. The office is open from 5 am until 1:30 pm for therapeutic activities and questions from clients. Clients are strongly urged to attend group therapy sessions with the CADC on staff. If clients are not able to attend due to work or family obligations, they are encouraged to attend 12-step meetings to supplement their recovery. If clients are not comfortable in groups, they can schedule individual therapy. Counselors use evidence-based practices as well as behavioral modification to help clients stay on track in their recovery.
Extras
If the client is in need of more intensive therapies or additional resources, the staff is able to facilitate access to community services or more intensive treatment options. Transportation, housing and funding assistance is within reach for most clients.
