The Brockton Comprehensive Treatment Center is a Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) facility located in Massachusetts. Providing outpatient care for opioid dependent adults, BCTC provides clients 18 and over with recovery resources including traditional therapy.
As a member of the Acadia Healthcare network, Brattleboro Comprehensive Treatment Center is just one of many behavioral health facilities providing chemical dependency and therapeutic support. With its headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, Acadia serves communities across the country and in the UK with inpatient, residential, outpatient and school-based treatment programs.
Treatment and Staff
BCTC uses evidence-based practices to guide clients through the detox process. Before being admitted into the program, all clients must be assessed by the intake staff. Assessment and screening includes health and psychiatric panels to account for any co-occurring disorders. From the assessment forward, clients are prescribed Methadone, Suboxone or Subutex.
The clinic is open Mondays and Fridays from 5:45 am until 3 pm, Wednesdays from 5:45 am until 4 pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:45 until 10 am. Administering of dosage occurs between 5:45 and 6:15 am Monday through Friday for workers and between 5:45 and 11 am for all others. The weekend dosage occurs from 6:15 until 10 am.
Addiction education and information about the process of withdrawal are transmitted in a group setting. Through group and individual therapy, clients come to understand the root of their addiction. Therapeutic activities are facilitated by LADCs and Master’s-level clinicians. Participating in therapeutic activities is not a requirement, but clients are strongly urged to attend. If they do not want to participate, they are encouraged to go to 12-step meetings for support. Additional resources are available if clients are not comfortable with AA/NA.
Referral services are available to help clients access more intensive recovery services or community resources. All counselors and medical staff can direct their clients towards medical care, housing and public assistance during their recovery process.
Brockton Comprehensive Treatment Center gives their clients the opportunity to heal by combining MAT and traditional evidence-based therapy. Each client is treated uniquely and offered group therapy, individual therapy and community support groups. Each client is treated as a unique entity and is respected and cared for during their recovery process.
