Treatment and Staff
The substance abuse treatment program at BGOC offers varying levels of intensity. Before entering into any of the groups, clients meet with a counselor to form a base individualized treatment plan which dictates the frequency of therapy sessions each week and the groups that would be most beneficial to the client’s recovery. The three main treatment components for all tracks are individual therapy, family therapy and group therapy. The general outpatient track is intended for individuals who wish to maintain a regular work or school schedule, while the IOP is more structured, meeting four evenings per week for as long as is necessary for the client.
One-on-one sessions and family therapy are scheduled Monday through Friday with evening hours available. Group sessions are also held Monday through Friday, with times subject to change.
Each group is led by a trained professional and typically has anywhere from eight to 10 members. Counselors use DBT and topics include: addiction recovery, anger issues, anxiety disorders, co-occurring disorders, early recovery issues, life skills, mood disorders, relapse prevention, Spanish-speaking group, women’s inter-generational group and a women’s recovery group. The program is based on a 12-step and Motivational Interviewing (MI) approach to treatment.
In addition to outpatient substance abuse services at the Germantown Clinic, Belmont Behavioral Hospital also offers a variety of other programs to clients and the broader community. Treatment for mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, psychosis, borderline personality disorder are all available as independent programs or to support those with dual diagnosis.
The substance abuse treatment programs at Belmont Germantown Outpatient Clinic are available in varying intensities to support a range of recovery needs. Through a variety of group session topics and evidence based methods combined with the 12-step frame work, clients are able to focus their treatment to what they most need.
