Ascent Trumann Day Treatment and Outpatient Clinic is a member of Ascent Children’s Health Services, a healthcare company providing services for toddlers, adolescents and teens. Located in Poinsett County, Arkansas, clients have access to the broader group of treatment programs in the state-wide Ascent network. Treatment and Staff
All of the treatment programs associated with Ascent Children’s Health Services offer Child Health Management Services (CHMS) and Rehabilitative Services for Persons With Mental Illness (RSPMI). All treatment is individualized, with plans tailored for each client’s needs following an initial evaluation and assessment.
Family members are also included in every aspect of the treatment plan as Ascent staff understands the importance of their involvement as integral to recovery—especially with regards to children and adolescents. Clients participate in both individual and group therapy, as well as family counseling and occupational therapy. Trumann Day treatment methods are evidence-based and intended for clients with less severe mental health disorders and developmental delays. Sessions focus on helping clients develop the skills they need to have a better quality of life without substance abuse and to educate on the dangers of chemical dependency to prevent future use. Additionally, play therapy is integrated into sessions as a means to process issues in an age-specific and meaningful way. The length of the program differs for everyone and is subject to change depending on individual progress.
The staff at Trumann Day consists of LCSWs, physicians, occupational therapists, early childhood specialists and psychiatrists.
Extras
Ascent also offers a range of other treatment services and programs for children, adolescents and teens struggling with mental, physical and/or developmental disorders. Psychological testing, speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy are all available to integrate into treatment plans.
