Acadia: Ascent Paragould Treatment and Outpatient Clinic Review
Ascent Paragould Treatment and Outpatient Clinic is a member of the Ascent Children’s Health Services network, a healthcare organization providing support for children, adolescents and teens. Located in Paragould, Arkansas, clients can access a state-wide range of programs. Treatment at the Paragould facility are outpatient and incorporate a range of evidence-based and holistic services for adolescents with co-occurring substance abuse and developmental, mental and physical delays.
Under the Acadia Healthcare umbrella, White Deer Run facilities are included among an expansive international group of behavioral health facilities providing chemical dependency and therapeutic support. With its headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, Acadia serves communities across the country and in the UK with inpatient, residential, outpatient and school-based treatment programs.
Treatment and Staff
All of the treatment programs associated with Ascent Children’s Health Services offer Child Health Management Services (CHMS) and Rehabilitative Services for Persons with Mental Illness (RSPMI). All programs provide individualized treatment planning following an initial evaluation and assessment. Parents and family members are incorporated into recovery plans as overall family wellness is considered integral to recovery.
Treatment combines individual and group therapy, family counseling and occupational therapy as-needed. Substance abuse services unique to the Paragould location are intended for adolescents with developmental disabilities such as autism, Asperger syndrome, Down syndrome and sickle cell anemia. Treatment is holistic, aiming to treat the individual as a whole: mind, body and spirit. The length of the program differs for everyone and is modified depending on individual progress.
The staff at APDT consists of LCSWs and psychiatrists who provide medication management.

The Paragould program provides access to a range of treatment services and programs for children, adolescents and teens struggling with mental, physical and/or developmental disorders. Options include: speech therapy, physical therapy, behavior counseling, nursing services and nutrition and wellness counseling.
