Treatment and Staff
All of the treatment programs associated with Ascent Children’s Health Services offer Child Health Management Services (CHMS) and Rehabilitative Services for Persons with Mental Illness (RSPMI). Every program also offers individualized treatment planning following an initial evaluation and assessment which caters to the specific treatment and recovery needs of the client. The parents and/or family of the client are also included in every aspect of the treatment plan as family involvement is integral to recovery, especially with regards to children and adolescents. Services such as individual and group therapy, family counseling and occupational therapy are also offered at every location.
The Mountain Day facility is intended for adolescents with co-occurring developmental disabilities such as autism, Asperger syndrome, Downs syndrome or sickle cell anemia. Treatment is holistic in nature, aiming to treat the individual as a whole—mind, body and spirit. Specialized options include speech therapy, physical therapy, behavior counseling, medication management, nursing services and nutrition and wellness counseling. Treatment for issues like substance abuse and chemical dependency is integrated into these various forms of therapy. The length of treatment differs from client to client and is subject to change depending on individual progress.
The staff at Mountain Home Day Treatment consists of LCSWs and psychiatrists.
Ascent also offers a range of other treatment services and programs for children, adolescents and teens struggling with mental, physical or developmental disorders. School-based therapies, family counseling programs and day treatment programs are all available for enrollment.
Any of the Arkansas-based Ascent programs are ideal for those seeking comprehensive rehabilitative treatment services for adolescents with co-occurring mental health issues and developmental disabilities. The services offered at the Mountain Day Treatment and Outpatient Clinic are individualized and holistic treatment plans that are tailored to address specific issues like substance abuse.
