Aatman Health and Wellness Review
Aatman Health and Wellness De-Addiction Centres is a detox and inpatient rehab located in New Delhi, India. These programs are open to both men and women who are dealing with addiction. Treatment programs are rooted in the 12 steps and offers evidence-based therapy approaches. Every program plan is individualized and focuses on spirituality and strength based treatment tracks.
Accommodations and Food
Treatment takes place in a charming farm house in a quiet and private part of New Delhi outside of the city parameters. The facility has four bedrooms that are double occupancy, all of which have en suite Western style bathrooms. Each room comes equipped with dressers, closet space, a small refrigerator and a satellite TV. All linens and bedding are provided during the stay.
There is a game room with table tennis and pool table, a meditation and yoga room, shared kitchen and dining room, office, fitness centre, and wide open spaces surrounding the facility that can be enjoyed from the multiple balconies.
The in-house chef prepares all meals daily with a variety of cuisine styles. These meals are highly nutritious and made from fresh, local ingredients.
Treatment and Staff
It’s not uncommon for incoming clients to have to go through detox upon arrival, which is supervised 24 hours a day by a physician and psychiatrist. Once stabilization occurs, clients move into the regular schedule of programming. The program is designed to last for around 90 days and clients receive structured programming in both group and individual settings.
There are daily spirituality groups, coping skills and life skills training sessions, relapse prevention and 12-step groups. Clients have down time integrated into treatment where they have the option to journal or work on a personal assignment. They also work on personal and program goals throughout and have individual therapy sessions where they discuss aftercare options near the time of graduation. A typical day in treatment begins at 7 am and goes until 10:30 pm. In addition to therapy, clients have a health dose of meditation and mindfulness daily, along with peer counseling and guidance.
The staff is managed by a medical director who leads qualified and experienced professionals. This includes psychiatrists, psychologists and ICADCs.
Extras
There are daily exercise opportunities offered in the fitness area, as well as instructor-led Yoga classes. There is aftercare support and the staff is able to connect their clients to outside support meetings within their communities.

There is an emphasis on spirituality and balance in the hopes that during the journey to recovery the individual also uncovers a spiritual awakening.
