Treatment and Staff
A New Dimension has three levels of outpatient programs. Following an initial bio-psycho-social evaluation, individualized treatment plans are developed. Detox is not offered but referrals can be provided when necessary.
For those who have been ordered to receive substance abuse education due to a DUI, there is an eight hour program available to fulfill court requirements. Those looking for more structured treatment can do one of three different outpatient programs. Level I meets twice a week, for a total of eight to 12 weeks. Level II is the most intensive, meeting three times a week for a total of eight to 12 weeks. Finally, the third level is a relapse prevention group which meets just once a week for eight weeks. Both Level I and II include a mixture of individual and group therapy, while relapse prevention offers group therapy only.
All of the above treatment programs include a focus on topics such as relapse prevention, anger management, an introduction to the 12 steps, and communication and life skills. Evidence based therapies such as CBT and DBT are utilized in all therapy sessions.
The staff consists of Master’s level therapists and LADCs. Group sizes run between three and 15 people at a time.

In addition to treatment for drug and alcohol abuse, A New Dimension also offers the aforementioned anger management classes and treatment for those who need it.
