A Clear Direction Wichita is an outpatient facility located in the College Hill area of Wichita, Kansas. Open since 2000, the facility is dedicated to helping clients overcome drug and alcohol abuse through outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). A Clear Direction also specializes in working with those with DUI convictions, so individuals who are court-ordered into treatment are also welcome.
Treatment and Staff
The regular outpatient program at A Clear Direction lasts between six and eight weeks, depending on what level of treatment is determined most beneficial during the initial assessment. Clients attend group therapy two to three times per week and individual therapy one to two times per week. The exact number of group sessions clients must attend is determined with a counselor.
If IOP is deemed appropriate, clients attend group therapy three times per week and individual therapy twice per week. IOP lasts between 12 and 16 weeks. Regardless of whether clients stay for 12 weeks or longer, the price for each program is the same.
There are both male and female counselors available at A Clear Direction, with clients welcome to choose whoever they are most comfortable with. All counselors are LPCs and provide CBT in group and one-on-one counseling sessions. Attendance of 12-step meetings is neither encouraged or discouraged; they are not a mandatory part of the program.
