A typical day would include an early morning wake up followed by an on-site AA meeting, then departing to the IOP facility which is off site for about five hours, and ending the day with a support meeting or group session.
The programs emphasize balance and accountability and offer several different therapy approaches with multiple disciplines. Daily group and individual sessions address past experiences that may have led to the use of alcohol and drugs, and works backwards. CBT, relapse prevention, anger management and coping skills are regularly discussed, in addition to finding joy in recovery, addressing relationships with family and loved ones, improving basic life skills like managing money, health and nutrition and employment coaching.
The staff includes a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians with accreditations like CATC, CDC, MFT, LPC and Drishti Yoga Instructors.
Clients have frequent sober excursions as well as a gym membership to 24 hour fitness where they work out on a daily basis. Sober activities include bowling and movie nights, trips to the beach, golf and surf lessons.
