Perched atop a hill overlooking San Francisco Bay, this location could not be a more relaxing setting to get sober. There is a swimming pool and floor to ceiling windows in the dining room. Great, natural light seems to be the theme throughout all of the meeting rooms, recreational areas and meditation spaces. Treatment and Staff
Bayside incorporates a wide range of traditional and more cutting-edge therapies to tailor plans according to each patient’s unique and individual needs. Bayside seeks to push clients to define their own truths through real self-expression and self-disclosure. Instead of step work, Bayside’s emphasis is on evidence-based treatment and six phases of care, which clients complete at their own individual pace; clients are given a set of five assignments that they must finish before they’re permitted to officially “check out” of the recovery center.
The staff is made up of addiction specialists from every discipline, from Clinician Board Certified Addiction and Internal Medicine doctors to licensed psychiatrists and psychologists to Master’s-level counselors to licensed physical therapists, acupuncturists, massage therapists and certified personal trainers. They also work with dual diagnosis clients, treating the sometimes simultaneous psychiatric conditions that can lay beneath substance abuse and addictions.

Bayside works hard to develop a thorough focus on holistic rather than solely medical treatments, offering alternatives like yoga, Qi Gong, massage, acupuncture, art therapy, music therapy, Tai Chi, DBT and a multitude of other types of therapy.
The aftercare services include monthly phone calls, two day Recovery Renewal visits and access to Bayside’s weekly alumni group and regular alumni events.
