Center for Therapeutic Interventions Review
The Center for Therapeutic Interventions (CTI) is an outpatient counseling agency with two locations, in Tulsa and Bartlesville, Oklahoma. CTI was founded nine years ago to serve individuals and families in northeastern Oklahoma with outpatient treatment for chemical dependency with co-occurring disorders, using individual, group, family and couples therapy.
Treatment and Staff
Treatment at CTI is evidence-based using CBT in addition to motivational therapy. The facility offers gender-specific group therapy with groups no larger than eight to 10 individuals. Groups for men meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the late afternoon; women’s groups are scheduled mid-morning on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The length of treatment is based on the client’s progress. Ambulatory detox is offered.
Though CTI does not use a 12-step model, attending 12-step meetings in between counseling sessions is encouraged. A doctor is not on site, but a licensed therapeutic team administers dual diagnosis support.
CTI encourages family members to participate in treatment in keeping with the facility’s philosophy that a healthy family environment improves chances of recovery.
Extras
CTI is one of the few area facilities that offer gambling addiction treatment in addition to substance abuse and alcoholism services.
