Treatment and Staff
After an assessment with a staff counselor, treatment plans are developed according to each client’s needs. Treatment is available to adults and adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17. Most programs involve several hours of group therapy per week and individual therapy at least once a week for an hour. Therapy at the facility follows evidence-based methods including CBT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI). The stages of chemical dependency, relapse prevention, coping and recovery skills are covered in sessions with counselors. Education is integrated into therapy sessions so clients are fully informed about the disease of addiction. Weekly classes explore the physical impact of drug use, as well as its emotional effects on the individual and families. The length of treatment depends on the client. Clients have periodic check-ins with their individual therapist and the weekly treatment schedule can be adjusted.
The staff at Apex consists of CSACs, psychiatrists, psychologists, and CSWs. All therapists and counselors are experienced in the treatment of co-occurring disorders and several specialize in the treatment of adolescents.

A family program is an option for clients who desire family involvement during treatment. Aftercare is available according to the client’s needs and involves a slow tapering in the number of weekly hours of treatment.
